When it’s time to replace your entire ceiling all your 2x2, 2x4 or can lights need to be removed and re-installed into your new ceiling tiles. That’s the perfect time to consider putting in new lighting because an electrician will need to be involved to remove and re-install the lights already, whether its new ones, or the old ones. We always prefer to hire electricians for that, so the job is done properly and safely. They are always licensed and insured for everyone’s peace of mind. Since there is a cost already involving the lights, that really is the perfect time to consider installing new ones at that time as it would be the most cost-effective time to do it.
Most people are familiar with LED lights these days, whether its for your home or a commercial property. They now make LED versions for pretty much every application including standard office lights. The cost has come way down compared to even 5 years ago, and a lot of people and General Contractors are going with a very thin light called a Flat Panel. They are much lighter and are only about ¾’s of an inch thick. They are better in every respect compared to the old T-12, or T-8 lights we have seen in office buildings for the last 30 years. No more ballasts to change, no more bulbs to change, they are much brighter and MUCH more energy efficient.
